How to check if a mobile is PTA approved

Find the IMEI Dial *#06# on the phone. It shows a 15-digit IMEI number. The same number is printed on the box.

Check it - Send the 15-digit IMEI by SMS to 8484, or - Use the official PTA DIRBS website or app.

The reply tells you whether the device is compatible (approved) or non-compatible.

Tips - Compare the IMEI on the box, the phone and the receipt. - Buy from a shop that gives a warranty and a receipt. - Rules and fees can change, so confirm on the official PTA website.
