Blue screen error: what it means and what to do
First steps
- Write down or photograph the stop code (for example MEMORY_MANAGEMENT).
- Unplug new USB devices and restart.
- Remember what changed before it started: a new program, driver or update.
Common fixes
- Uninstall the program or driver you installed just before the problem.
- Run Windows Update and update the graphics driver.
- Check the disk and RAM health.
If blue screens repeat many times a week, the RAM or the disk may be failing. Back up your data and visit a technician.
