Core i3, i5 and i7: what is the difference?
- i3: basic work such as browsing, documents and videos.
- i5: the best balance for most people, with good speed for study and office work.
- i7: more power for heavy multitasking, programming and editing.
- A newer generation i5 can beat an older i7, so check the generation (the first digits of the model number).
- Also check RAM and SSD; they affect speed as much as the processor.
Buy the power you need, not the label.
