Laptop webcam not working

• Some laptops have a small slider that covers the camera. Slide it open.
• Open Settings > Privacy > Camera and allow apps to use it.
• Check the function key with a camera icon; it may have turned it off.
• Close other apps like Zoom or Teams that may be using the camera.
• Reinstall the camera driver from Device Manager.

If the Camera app shows a black screen with a light on, the module may need replacing.
