Laptop plugged in but not charging

• Test another socket and check that the charger plug is fully inside the laptop.
• Look at the charger cable for cuts or bends, especially near the plug.
• Make sure the charger watt rating matches your laptop. A weaker charger may not charge while the laptop is in use.
• Restart the laptop with the charger connected.
• Clean the charging port gently with a dry brush.

If a friend's charger of the same model works, your charger is faulty. If not, the charging port or battery needs checking.
