Laptop keeps freezing: causes and fixes

• Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and see which program uses the most memory or disk.
• Close extra browser tabs. Each tab uses RAM.
• Keep free space on the C drive.
• Check the temperature. A very hot laptop slows down on purpose.
• Update Windows and drivers.
• A hard disk at 100% usage all the time is a sign to switch to an SSD.

If it freezes even when little is open, ask for a disk health and RAM check.
