No sound from the laptop speakers

• Check the volume and that the speaker is not muted.
• Click the speaker icon and make sure the right output device is selected (not a Bluetooth headset that is switched off).
• Unplug headphones and plug them in again.
• Right-click the speaker icon > Troubleshoot sound problems.
• Update or reinstall the audio driver from Device Manager.

If one speaker works and the other does not, it is a hardware fault.
